The Victorians

Since starting back after half term, we have been looking at The Victorians in History lessons. We have already learnt a lot of information about Queen Victoria and have plotted where The Victorians were on a timeline. We even wrote down some questions that we would like to ask Queen Victoria if we were to go back in time.

3D Shapes

We have looked at 3D shapes in Maths. The children are now good at explaining what the different shapes are and describing their properties. We set them a challenge of building a variety of 3D shapes using connecting cubes. Here is an example of their work.

Plants

During our Science topic on Plants, we have been investigating how water is transported through a plant. We planned and carried out an experiment to see how liquid would travel to the flower.

Carefully, we then dissected a plant so we could have a closer look inside.
